Subject Description | Students will expand their knowledge and understanding of the structural, functional and developmental aspects of the body through problem-based learning and tutorial sessions. Students will address complex diseases related to the cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine and renal systems. Common medical and other treatment modalities including drug therapy used in the management of patients with conditions related to these systems will also be studied. Normal pregnancy, birthing and common complications will be explored. The impact of complex problems on the client's mental health status will be considered.
