Subject Description	This subject examines curriculum issues in health and physical education through the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. Practical workshops and seminars focus upon the primary curriculum. Lecture topics include motor learning; paediatric exercise; school issues in human sexuality; swimming and water safety; nutrition; outdoor and environment education.
Assessment	Written assignments totalling 3000 words (75%) and a 2-hour examination (25%). Satisfactory participation and performance in seminars and practical classes is a hurdle requirement of this subject.
