Subject Description | This subject examines curriculum issues in health and physical education through the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. Practical workshops and seminars focus upon the primary curriculum. Lecture topics include motor learning; paediatric exercise; school issues in human sexuality; swimming and water safety; nutrition; outdoor and environment education. |
Assessment | Written assignments totalling 3000 words (75%) and a 2-hour examination (25%). Satisfactory participation and performance in seminars and practical classes is a hurdle requirement of this subject. |
