485-103 Health and Physical Education 1 and 460-205 Teaching and Professional Practice 2 or approved equivalent

This subject is focused on extending the work you did in HPE 1 associated with childcare and kindergarten to the primary school setting. There are two main features of this subject: (1) Teaching physical education in the primary school, and (2) Health as an issue in primary schools.

Each of these features is central to a comprehensive approach to health and physical education in the primary school. This subject takes a hands-on approach to these areas, one that involves students in the teaching of physical eduaction in a primary school, and the research and presentation of material focused on the health promoting school.

Assignments totalling 4000 words.
