Subject Description | A study of teaching and learning in health education in the secondary school. Emphasis will be placed on the health promoting schools concept. Important aspects to be covered are the development of social and decision-making skills, development of a positive self-concept, sexuality education, nutrition education and understanding of the health care system and of community health resources. |
Assessment | Assignments totalling 4000 words. |
