Subject Description | This subject introduces students to the nature of music and its contributions to the arts as a key learning area through the learning processes of arts practice (composing, performing) and responding to the arts (listening, contextual understanding). Students will develop an understanding of the basic elements of music through their own engagement in these processes, and gain knowledge of ways in which music can be implemented and evaluated in a primary education setting. |
Assessment | The construction of a group composition and presentation (50%); and a written assignment of 1000 words (50%). |
