Subject Description

This subject focuses on concepts, rationale, purposes and features of consultancy. Specific topics include: business management; marketing professional services; basic accounting principles; promotion techniques; consultancy project management; theories and models of organisational change and development; and building and managing a consultancy practice. The subject also addresses the consultant's role with particular emphasis on values and ethics for consultants; professional learning in consultancy and the value of networking in business and career development.

Assessment

Assignments totalling 4000 words or equivalent.

A collection of appropriate readings will be prepared for students.
