Subject Description | This subject introduces the student to various theories, frameworks and techniques appropriate to the learning environment, focusing on those appropriate to adults and the work environment. It provides an introduction to: the social, psychological and cultural theories of learning; the role of language and communication in learning; and strategies for building constructive adult learning group cultures and for overcoming difficulties experienced by educators and trainers when working with groups and individuals. In addition the role of independent learning and the links between learning and innovation are explored. |
