476-122 Developing Assessment Tools & Procedures

Subject Description	This subject investigates the processes involved in designing, developing and validating standardised assessment tools and procedures for use in competency assessment. Students are given an opportunity to acquire skills in designing assessment processes and instruments for judging competence and scoring performance. Topics include tasks specifications, rubric development, task validation, validity and reliability and moderation.
Assessment	An assignment totalling 4000 words or equivalent.
Prescribed Texts	A collection of appropriate readings will be prepared for students.
