Subject Description | This subject studies the teaching of business studies in the secondary classroom. It will include the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and the Victorian Certificate of Education, as they apply to the business studies field. Students will examine the rationale, curriculum content, methodology and teaching techniques appropriate to the teaching of business studies at the junior and senior levels. In addition to a study of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and the strands, the subject will cover the teaching of specialist business studies VCE areas: accounting, business management, economics and legal studies, including unit planning and dealing with assessment. The subject aims to develop student knowledge of the business studies field, while developing personal skills in classroom management and presentation. |
