One compulsory 2-hour class for Teaching and 10 days professional practice in a service for infants and toddlers under three years of age

Subject Description

Students will continue to develop their initial understandings of the broad role of early childhood teachers, the care and education of young children, the early childhood curriculum and the learning and development processes. Students will continue to develop skills in communication, observation and planning for individual children and small groups, maintaining a safe, healthy environment for children, and reflecting on the roles and responsibilities of the early childhood professional in services for children under 3 years of age.

Assessment

Ten days of satisfactory Teaching and Professional Practice experience.
