One compulsory 2-hour class for Teaching and Professional Practice orientation and fifteen days professional practice in a service for children aged 3-5 years

Subject Description

Students will begin to develop their understanding of the role of early childhood teachers and the early childhood curriculum in services for children aged 3-5 years. Students will begin to develop skills in communication, observing and recording children's play and development, and will implement and evaluate small group play experiences planned in collaboration with the supervising teacher.

Assessment

Fifteen days of satisfactory Teaching and Professional Practice experience and associated written tasks as specified in the BECE Teaching and Professional Practice 1 manual.
