Subject Description	Upon completion of this subject, students should be familiar with the basic precepts of a particular research topic in mechanical, manufacturing, mechatronic or environmental engineering. The content of this subject will change from year to year and will be used to present new research-oriented topics in mechanical, manufacturing, mechatronic and environmental engineering, and will generally be presented by researchers who are visiting the department.
Assessment	One 3-hour examination at the end of semester (60%), 2 syndicate presentations and 2 project reports not exceeding 2500 words each excluding computations, diagrams, tables and computer output due throughout the semester (40%).
