Subject Description | The objectives of this subject are for students to understand the issues involved in software project management and the factors that affect software quality; to be familiar with a range of standards, techniques and tools developed to support software project management and the production of high quality software; and to be able to develop software project plans and supporting software quality plans and risk management plans. Topics covered include project management issues - client management; management of technical teams, project planning and scheduling, risk management, configuration management, quality assurance and accreditation, legal issues; software quality - factors affecting software quality; planning for quality; software quality assurance plans; software measurements; and standards: - Australian and international. |
Assessment | An individual project management project 2500 words (30%); a team project report worth 30%; a 2 hour examination (40%). |
