Subject Description | The content of this subject is dependent on the interests and expertise of the student. The subject functions to provide students with the opportunity to do supervised research on a topic not normally treated in the undergraduate curriculum. The student should gain skills in independent research and acquire the ability to apply engineering and scientific analysis to a piece of scientific work of particular personal and intellectual interest. |
Assessment | One written report of up to 7000 words (not including appendices, diagrams, tables, computations and computer output) due at the end of semester; to pass the subject, the project work on which the report is based must be of a satisfactory standard. |
