Note

This subject will be taught in intensive mode: two or three full days of seminars in the week before semester one begins, one three-hour seminar each week for the next five weeks of semester, and possibly another full day seminar in the fourth week of semester. Subject Description

This subject will provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical 'know-how' that will enable them to undertake an advanced management research project (325-408 Management Research Essay). Subject matter will include: the nature of the management research process; an introduction to the epistemology of management research; how to produce a literature review; how to design a research project; and, how to undertake quantitative and qualitative management research.

Assessment

A 3-hour examination (60%) and assignment(s) totalling not more than 4000 words (40%).
