300-409 Actuarial Studies Projects
Note	Students may not gain credit for 300-400 and 300-409.

Prerequisites	Entry into the fourth-year honours program in Actuarial Studies.

Contact	A series of, at most, five 1-hour meetings per semester
Subject Description	Students will complete three projects which will require research, analytical and mathematical skills. The nature of these projects will vary according to the current interests of staff and visitors.
Generic Skills	High level of development: written communication; problem solving; application of theory to practice; interpretation and analysis; critical thinking. Moderate level of development: use of computer software; accessing data and other information from a range of sources; receptiveness to alternative ideas. Some level of development: oral communication; synthesis of data and other information; evaluation of data and other information.
Assessment	Students will be required to submit three assignments of between 3000 and 3500 words each, on dates specified at the start of the academic year.
