Subject Description | This subject should provide students with an understanding of the principles associated with the acquisition, storage and interpretation of spatial and temporal data associated with landscapes, ranging from sub-paddock to catchment scale. The subject will introduce students to: mapping techniques, global positioning systems, automatic data acquisition, passive and active remote sensing technologies and Geographic information systems (GIS). On completion of this subject the students should be able to:

Assessment | A three-hour examination (50%), equivalent to two 2500-word assignments (20% each) and practical assignments (worth a total of 10%). |
