Subject Description | This subject forms an advanced overview of theories, methods and ethical issues in qualitative research. The subject will focus on the techniques of field studies, intensive interviewing, and case studies. Students will carry out small scale qualitative research exercises and will present them orally and in writing. |

Assessment | A 1200 word essay for third year, 1500 words for fourth year and postgraduates, 30% (due during the semester) and a 2800 word essay for third year, 3500 for fourth year and postgraduates, 70% (due at the end of semester). |
