Subject Description

This subject entails an original supervised research project on a topic approved by the honours coordinator.

Generic Skills

  • be able to plan, carry through and write up an original piece of research;

  • be able to understand the way in which broader issues translate into particular testable questions;

  • be able to write clearly and incisively about complex technical issues in the field.

Assessment

A thesis of 12,000 words 100% (due at the end of the second semester of enrolment). Students who commence the thesis in semester one will be required to prepare and present a poster of their research in early October. Students who commenced the thesis in semester two will be required to prepare and present a poster of their research in April.
