Subject Description | This is a special subject for students who wish to complete courses at the biennial Australian Linguistics Institute. Students must attend four one-week advanced level courses. They will select a project topic from the list provided by the ALI course presenter. On return from the ALI, they will be assigned a supervisor/s under whom they will complete the intensive reading and other work requirements. Assessment of the project will be completed by staff within the linguistics and applied linguistics program. |

Assessment | An essay of 5000 words 100% (due in late October). This may be varied by mutual agreement between the lecturer and the student to include a problem based component, with appropriate re-weighting of assessment. |
