Subject Description	An approved topic selected in consultation with the convenor of gender studies.
Generic Skills	show critical thinking and analysis through recommended reading, essay writing, and by determining the strength of an argument; demonstrate research skills through competent use of the library and other information sources; demonstrate time management and planning through managing and organising workloads for recommended reading, essay and assignment completion; demonstrate attention to detail through essay preparation and writing.
Assessment	A thesis of 12 000 words 100% (due in the second semester of enrolment).
