Subject Description | Students studying Slavic studies, including Russian, may be permitted to take this individual reading subject. After consultation with an appropriate member of staff who agrees to act as a supervisor, students wishing to take this subject should submit to the coordinator details of their proposed topic for approval, including bibliography and a proposed schedule of assignments. Approval may not be given if there is substantial overlap between the proposed topic and the content of an existing subject. Students may enrol in this subject only if they have already completed all other optional subjects available. |

Assessment | Two 2000-word essays 50% each (one due mid-semester and one at the end of semester) for 3rd-year students, a 2000-word essay and a 3000-word essay for 4th-year students 50% each. |
