Subject Description

This subject is a continuation of 126-046 Intermediate Swedish A (on-line). It focuses on reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and grammatical structure, making use of a number of different types of texts, including literary works by important Swedish authors. Students will expand their vocabulary to a higher level of complexity in the speaking, understanding, reading and writing of Swedish.

Generic Skills

  • have further developed speaking and listening skills;

  • be able to express themselves in a variety of contexts;

  • be able to work efficiently as a team member and have an understanding of social and cultural diversity.

Assessment

A 2-hour written examination 50% (end of the semester), weekly assignments totalling 1000 words 20% (throughout the semester), and a major report totalling 1000 words 30% (end of the semester).
