121-526 Development Studies Thesis

Subject Description	An original, supervised research project on a topic to be decided in consultation with the coordinator and the supervisor.
Generic Skills	think critically (for example, about development and its measures); obtain information to evaluate propositions (about the principles of development); write a coherent and empirically substantiated research paper; defend that paper.
Assessment	A thesis of 15 000 words. A hurdle requirement is the submission of a statement of a research problem at a date to be specified by the first week of the first semester of enrolment.
