Students who have completed 922-004 or 922-214 La Trobe - Spanish Beginners 2B are not eligible to enrol in this subject. This subject is taught by the School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne.

116-220 Intermediate Spanish A and 116-221 Intermediate Spanish C.

116-223 Intermediate Spanish D.

This subject emphasises performance in the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, but on a more advanced level than Intermediate Spanish A, which it builds on. It contains elements related to practical language acquisition and the study of Spanish and Latin American culture through film and text.

Three pieces of written homework (due throughout the semester), a 15-minute oral presentation (due during semester) and five mini-quizzes - totalling 50%, and two 1-hour written exams of 500 words 50% (due mid-semester and due at the end of semester respectively).
