116-014 French II: Language A or equivalent.

This subject builds upon the linguistic abilities developed in 116-014 French II: Language A. It aims at consolidating and expanding the four major language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) by intensive practical training. This is achieved through a variety of activities, in particular group discussions, formal study of grammar, discourse forms and vocabulary, creative and factual writing, reading, listening to and watching authentic recorded documents. The materials used will broaden students' knowledge of French and Francophone high and popular cultures.

Written work totalling 3000 words 75% (due during and at the end of semester) and a short oral test 25% (at the end of semester).
