10. Complaint resolution

Complaints regarding academic matters

If a student is unable to resolve a serious problem with a lecturer/supervisor, the matter should be taken up with the Head of Program. If the Head of Program is unable to resolve the problem, the matter may then be referred to the Dean.

Complaints regarding administrative matters

Students who have any enrolment administrative difficulties in the Faculty should first ask the Senior Course Coordinator for help. If the Senior Course Coordinator is unable to resolve the problem the matter should then be referred to the Manager of Academic Programs.

These steps should be taken as soon as the problem arises. Help is also available from the Student Union Advisory Service, the University of Melbourne Postgraduate Association, the University Counselling Service and the University's equal opportunity officer.
