Two hours of practical language classes and a 2-hour culture seminar per week. Classes will be offered at the University of Melbourne subject to minimum enrolments

Subject Description

This subject combines the further development of language skills through a variety of activities with the study of aspects of Spanish and Latin American cultural texts. Grammatical study is complemented by advanced practical oral work.

Assessment

Written work comprising: a 1000-word essay 20%, two grammar and vocabulary questionnaires 20% (during the semester), a diary 10%, regular oral/aural exercises including oral presentation 10%, listening comprehension test 10% and a 1.5-hour test 30% (due at the end of semester). Students must pass the end of semester written test in order to pass the subject.
