Subject Description | This subject introduces students to major debates on key aspects of as well as special issues pertaining to globalisation. It also intends to help students to critically apply the concepts or theories explored in the course to analyse their own societies. This subject encourages students from different parts of the world to work together in discussion and group projects with a view to developing an all-round understanding of the impacts of globalisation. |
Assessment | Written work totalling 4000 words (100%) submitted on-line throughout the semester comprising a written report on web-based group discussions, essays, and a report of a group research project. |
Prescribed Texts | An on-line study pack will be provided by the University of Hong Kong. |
