Subject Description | This subject involves the study of modern literary texts and modern conversational idiom and grammar. Students should complete the subject with an enriched knowledge of the language through the use of modern Hebrew literature; of the modern idiom spoken in Israel today, including its vocabulary, grammar and syntax. The subject should prepare students for a broader range of expertise. |

Assessment | Written essays totalling 1500 words 37% (commencing at the beginning of semester and due at the end of semester), an oral exam 7% (due at the end of semester), dictation and comprehension 6% (due at the end of semester) and a written examination 50% (due at the end of semester). |
