126-128 Beginners German C

Formerly available as 126-003. Students who have completed 126-003 are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

126-126 Beginners German A and 126-127 Beginners German B or equivalent.

In this subject students should acquire a clear and accurate spoken facility at a basic standard of the language. Students should also develop a familiarity with important German cultural habits and acquire the level of competency required for admittance to 126-005 Intermediate German A and 126-007 Intermediate German B.

• have developed further speaking and listening skills in a foreign language;

• be able to work efficiently as a team member;

• have an understanding of social and cultural diversity.

A 1-hour written test 40% (due at the end of semester) and a 20-minute oral test 60% (due at the end of semester).
