Subject Description	The twentieth century in Latin America has seen the rise and fall of numerous military regimes led by dictators. This subject will explore the cultural manifestations of both propaganda and resistance to these dictatorships. The types of cultural products studied in this subject include: posters, music, literature and film.

Assessment	Contribution to tutorial discussions 15% (throughout the semester), three 800-word exercises 60% (due during semester), two 500 word tests 25% (during the semester).
