Subject Description

This subject complements 110-165 Indonesian Level 1A by developing students' Indonesian speaking and listening proficiency and reinforcing other language resources (eg. grammar and vocabulary) through oral interaction.

Generic Skills

  • acquire written communication skills through essay writing and seminar discussion;

  • show attention to detail through essay preparation and writing;

  • acquire time management and planning skills through managing and organising workloads for reccommended reading, essay and assignment completion;

  • acquire public speaking skills through tutorial and seminar discussion and class presentations.

Assessment

Two presentations 40% (due early semester and late semester), one group presentation 30% (due mid semester), a 10-minute oral test 20% (due during the examination period) and continuous class participation 10%. Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination.
