8. Quota subjects
8.1. Selection procedure
8.2. Enrolment procedure
The following subjects in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning have restricted enrolment numbers in 2006 due to lab and workshop space limitations: 702-402 Digital Speculations, 702-442 Digital Visualisation, 702-334 Rendering as a Graphic Communication, 702-512 Timber Furniture Workshop and 702-434 Sculpture Workshop.
Selection into quota subjects is based on academic merit. Students who apply for a place in a quota subject will be ranked according to the weighted average of their course results. Places in each subject will be offered in accordance with the applicant's rank on the list until all places available in the subject have been filled.
Students need to indicate their wish to be considered for a place in quota subjects on their course plan for 2006. Selection will occur in the month prior to the commencement of the semester in which the subject is offered (ie January for Semester 1 and June for Semster 2).
Students who do not indicate their interest in enrolling in a quota subject during the course planning period will be required to complete a quota subject request form, which is available from the ABP Faculty Office. Quota subject request forms will not be accepted after 31 January for Semester 1 and 30 June for Semester 2.
Students offered a place in quota subjects will be notified via email and sent an enrolment record.
