H3 or better in 922-006 LaTrobe-Spanish Advanced 1B and 922-210 LaTrobe-Spanish Advanced 1D or approval of the subject coordinator.

Emphasis in this subject is placed on developing the student's written, aural and oral skills further, while more advanced aspects of grammar and vocabulary are also studied. Hispanic culture and literature are examined and discussed, primarily through audio-visual and written material.

A 1.5-hour written test 30% (due at the end of semester), written work comprising: a 1000-word essay 20%, two translations 15%, regular oral/aural exercises including two oral presentations 20% and listening comprehension 15%. Students must pass the end of semester written test in order to pass the subject.
