Subject Description | This subject provides an introduction to sensitometry, low light photography, the shooting of high key and low key images, infrared film, non-silver imaging, the use of medium format cameras and archival processing and finishing. Other issues examined in the subject include critical analysis of images, copyright, and moral and ethical issues in photography. Analogue and digital techniques may be used. |

Assessment | Class participation and work equivalent to 4000 words comprising two assignments in sensitometry 10% each (due early in semester), two research projects approved by the lecturer 50% (due during semester) and a folio of six related prints 30% (due at the end of semester). |
