Subject Description | The subject reflects on the nature and existence of myth in contemporary experience and how this is expressed in art practice. The use of text in art and how narrative in the form of artist's books provides the means of exploring this theme will be examined. The student's interests and independent research into the theme, media and techniques, will determine the content and form of a handmade book. Students will elect to work in either two or three-dimensional media. |

Assessment | Practical projects equivalent to 3000 words 80% (due at the end of semester), visual/written documentation or research equivalent to 1000 words 20% (due mid-semester) and participation in practical workshops. A hurdle requirement of a minimum 80% attendance required. |
