740-376 Group Music Skills 1-2

Quota subject with priority given to students enrolled in the BMus/BTeach

In this subject, students will learn basic playing, maintenance and tuning techniques on at least one instrument from the string, woodwind, brass or guitar families. The will also learn the fundamentals of group teaching techniques in string, woodwind, brass or guitar. Students must choose a different instrument family for their work in this subject than chosen for 740-375 Group Music Skills 1-1.

Performance of 10 minutes (50%); resource folio of 2000 words (30%); composition for three to five instruments of the family under study of three minutes duration (20%).
