705-320 Development of Asian Megacities
Note	Formerly available as 705-220 Urban Development in Asian Megacities. Student who have completed 705-220 are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

Subject Description	This subject examines the growth of Asian megacities within the context of Asia-Pacific urbanization from various theoretical perspectives. Second, using a hands on planning approach, issues such as manufacturing, office development, port and airport expansion are examined. The subject concludes with the development of regional scale planning approaches.
Assessment	Class exercises of not more than 1000 words (20%), one essay of up to 2000 words (40%), and a two-hour examination (40%).
