Subject Description

This subject examines the growth of Asian megacities within the context of Asia-Pacific urbanization from various theoretical perspectives. Second, using a hands on planning approach, issues such as manufacturing, office development, port and airport expansion are examined. The subject concludes with the development of regional scale planning approaches.

Assessment

Class exercises of not more than 1000 words (20%), one essay of up to 2000 words (40%), and a two-hour examination (40%).
