208-232 Business Data Analysis

Contact	Two 1-hour lectures per week and 2-hours of tutorial per week
Subject Description	This subject introduces the quantitative skills required for business analysis and management and is the foundation for later-year quantitative subjects. Topics include: financial mathematics; data description; sampling; measure of location and dispersion; population parameters, sample statistics, experimental design; basic differentiation; and probabilities and use of computers for data analysis.
Assessment	A 3-hour end-of-semester examination (50%) and assessment of tutorial worksheets (50%, equivalent to 5000 words in total).
