Subject Description

This is a special subject for students who wish to complete courses at the biennial Australian Linguistics Institute. Students must complete either two 2-week advanced level courses or four one-week advanced level courses. They will select a project topic from the list provided by the ALI course presenter. On return from the ALI, they will be assigned a supervisor/s under whom they will complete the intensive reading and other work requirements. Assessment of the project will be completed by staff of the Department of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics.

Assessment

Written work totalling 5000 words.
