Subject Description | Spanish is the first language of 23 countries which span two continents and the second language in the United States of America. Using this diversity as a starting point, this subject explores a variety of creative works from Latin America, Spain and the Spanish-speaking population of North America, all of which reflect important social and political aspects of the contemporary Hispanic world. |
Assessment | A 20-minute class presentation 30% (due during semester), a 1-hour written exam 30% (due during semester), a 2000-word essay 40% (due at the end of semester). |
