Subject Description | Students should receive a broad grounding in research methods and materials for Japanese studies, particularly in the humanities and social sciences. Students will prepare a research design and annotated bibliography as a preparation for undertaking honours level studies. |

Assessment | An annotated bibliography of 2000 words 40% (due mid-semester), a research design of 2500 words 50% (due mid-semester) and class participation 10%. |
