Subject Description | In this subject students should develop their ability to read, discuss and write in Indonesian about social, political, cultural and historical phenomena in Indonesia and the world. Oral and colloquial language will be made more familiar and discussion on grammar will be conducted at an advanced level. |

Assessment | Two essays of 1000 words 30% (due mid-semester and at the end of semester), a 10-minute oral exam 20% and a 2-hour written final examination 30% (due during the examination period), and class participation 20%. Third year students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination. |
