Subject Description | This is an advanced subject in Chinese language and literature for students who have passed 110-041 Standard Chinese 3A. At the conclusion of this subject students should be able to read a variety of extracts from modern Chinese literature. Students should be familiar with Chinese current affairs. and have improved their ability to write Standard Chinese. |

Assessment | A 1-hour composition test 20% (due mid-semester), a 10-minute oral examination 10% (due during the examination period), a 2-hour examination 60% (due during the examination period), ongoing class work 5% and ongoing class participation 5%. |
