It will look at the baroque as a stylistic operation, for example in antique, seventeenth-century, nineteenth-century, and twentieth-century art; as the seventeenth-century cultural paradigm; and as a critical theory applicable to art, architecture, the decorative arts, cinema and new entertainment media.
