Regular work with video and audio tapes, written exercises and reading preparation are set. A wide spectrum of audio, video and written materials are available direct from Catalonia which help to reinforce the everyday use of the language. Various aspects of Catalan civilisation are introduced and the problematic coexistence of Catalan alongside Spanish, especially in relation to Barcelona, is explored. |
Assessment | Written work, oral/aural work, and an end of semester written test all equivalent to 4000 words. |
