Availability	1st year (beginners stream). Students may enrol in this subject at 2nd year level but they will not normally be able to complete a major in Spanish.

Subject Description	This subject continues to emphasise the acquisition of Spanish through a communicative approach to language learning but on a more advanced level than Spanish Beginners 1A. Throughout the semester, cultural aspects of the Hispanic world continue to be incorporated into the language classes.
Assessment	Written work totalling 1000 words, oral/aural work totalling 1500 words, a 1-hour end of semester written test, and a 15-minute listening test.
