Subject Description | This subject focuses on creating an interactive web site, utilising HTML, Dynamic Hypertext Mark-Up Language (DHTML), Flash, streaming rich media (MP3, QuickTime), basic Javascript and other programming languages/environments of choice. Students will develop their own project-based web sites and be encouraged to examine their work from technical, aesthetic and critical perspectives. Relevant developments in on-line environments will also be discussed and explored. |
Assessment | Students will complete a design plan and a major project along with accompanying documentation and exercises, equivalent to 4000 words. These will be self-initiated in consultation with the lecturer. Minimum 80% attendance (hurdle requirement). |
