Subject Description

This subject introduces drawing skills appropriate to design and building. These skills are taught through a series of freehand and constructed drawing assignments held both outdoors and in the studio, and are developed concurrently with the graphic skills required in Building Technology 1A and Introduction to Design. Emphasis is given to development of orthographic and delineation skills, and to the representation of form and volume. Content includes a digital skills module.

Assessment

Freehand and constructed drawing exercises held both outdoors and in the studio (63%), a three hour perspective drawing test (7%), life drawing in class (15%), and a computer photoshop exercise (15%).
